Cabinet of Ministers will allocate money to the regions so that they could start producing more milk. The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree №932-r of May 22, 2015 on the allocation of more than 6.2 billion rubles for the needs of the dairy industry in the Russian Federation.

Subsidies will be provided under the subprogram “Development of dairy breeding”. Their effectiveness will be assessed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Provisions of the Government program of agricultural development and regulation of agricultural markets, raw materials and food for 2013-2020 will be implemented in accordance with this document.

The program is scheduled for 7 years starting from 2013. According to Dmitry Medvedev, such a mechanism has been implemented during previous years. To date, the regions should produce their own dairy products. “We need to develop our own milk production and produce our own dairy products, which should be on the shelves of our shops,” – said the Prime Minister last week, commenting on the decree.
