Import of fruits from Moldova to be resumed

From 7 August 2015 Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) allowed Russian import of pears, quinces, apricots, cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums and fresh thorns from a number of Moldova’s enterprises, the corresponding decision was published on the website of the Service.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova welcomed the decision to resume imports of Moldovan fruits in Russia, said the head of the agency Ion Sula on 6 August 2015.

"The Moldovan government welcomes the decision of Rosselkhoznadzor. All Moldovan agricultural enterprises are ready to proof in practice that their products meet all the parameters for the export of products to Russia”, - said Ion Sula.

The Minister of Agriculture said that Moldova supports the renewal of the previous export volumes of goods produced in the country to Russia.

“We hope that it will happen in the nearest future” - said Ion Sula.
