Сall-center for Women Entrepreneurs to be opened in Russia
The hotline to provide legal advice to women entrepreneurs will start working in Russia in November 2015.
The initiative was declared on 30 October 2015 at the 5th All-Russian Forum “Business women: time for new solutions”. According to President of the Russian Non-Governmental Organization "Business Women" Tatiana Gvilava, against the background of economic recession, devaluation of Russian ruble exchange rate and exchange rate differences, there is a clear drop in profitability in small and medium business segment. The call-center will provide advice from tax and financial experts, legal counsels, including operational assistance at unreasonable assaults form competitors or pressure from officials.
“Our organization receives a lot of requests from regions were against the background of economic recession, devaluation of Russian ruble exchange rate and exchange rate differences, there is a clear drop in profitability in small and medium business segment - explained Tatiana Gvilava. - Both large legal entities and private entrepreneurs engaged in the family business suffer from that. Women seek advice, professional advice of our experts, and someone just needs the words of support. That is why we decided to open the call-center for absolutely all women entrepreneurs from all over Russia.”
Today, women entrepreneurs account for 55% of Russian small businesses. Russia has become a world leader in the number of women chief executives. According to the Grant Thornton International, 40% of senior management positions in our country are occupied by women.
A lot of women want to start their own business: according to Amway Global Entrepreneurship Report (AGER), last year interest in private business was expressed by 68% of Russian women. According to AGER statistics, Russian women called the possibility of obtaining additional income the most important incentive for starting a business (31.1% of women), secondly - an occasion to realize their business ideas (23.8%) and thirdly - independence from the employer (22 %).
However, among the major obstacles to opening their own business Russian women called the lack of knowledge in finance, taxation, legislation, social protection and mechanisms of state support. The future call-center aims to help women entrepreneurs with these issues. All experts of the call-center will work on a voluntary basis. Women will get advice from tax and financial experts, legal counsels.
